# Security

How to tell us about a security problem in tidekeeper, and what we do with your report.

## How to report

- Write to security@tidekeeper.eu. Say what you found, where, and how to see it for ourselves, with what you used to find it.

- Tell no one else until we have fixed it and said so, or until a date we agree with you.

- Test only against an account of your own. Do not read, change or delete anyone else's data, and do not degrade the service for others: no denial of service, no spam, no social engineering of our people, and no physical access.

## What we do

- We confirm that we received your report.

- We look into it, tell you what we think of it and what we will do, and keep you told until it is fixed.

- When it is fixed, we say so, and name you as the one who found it if you want us to.

- Where the law asks us to tell the authorities, customers or the people concerned, we do.

## In good faith

We will not take legal action against you, or ask anyone else to, for research that keeps to this page: made in good faith, testing only your own account, telling only us, and giving us time to fix it.
